对主要设备的进、出水管间可安装短路阀，冲洗时关闭进、出水阀，打开短路阀即可对整个管网进行系统冲洗。而对于末端装置是风机盘管，由于安装空间原因安装短路阀会有困难，可在供、回水干管上考虑便于冲洗的措施。如在空调供水干管末端及回水干管首端设置冲洗阀，对供水和回水的水平干管分别冲洗，冲洗时注意冲洗方向应与系统运行时水流方向一致。
